Maria Cunningham
My name is Maria Cunningham and I'm a former primary teacher now working as 
Network Development Leader for the
Network Development Leader for the
Teacher Development Trust, a charity dedicated to improving CPD for staff in schools. I wanted to become a co-opted governor in order to contribute some of the educational and policy insights I've gained through regularly working with school leadership teams across the country, as well as the Department for Education.
As an Islington local I'm delighted to be getting involved in the local community. I also went to a girls' school myself so am passionate about empowering every girl to succeed and reach their academic potential, which is such a strong aspect of the culture and vision at Highbury Fields School.
